Role Overview

CityPlat is seeking a Managing Director of Brokerage to lead, scale, and professionalize our brokerage platform.
This is a senior leadership role for a proven commercial real estate operator who can run day-to-day brokerage execution while helping architect the next phase of growth.

This role is not transactional-only. It is operational, strategic, and leadership-driven.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all brokerage activity (leasing, sales, land, special situations)
• Recruit, train, and manage brokers and associate brokers
• Set brokerage standards, deal structure norms, and underwriting discipline
• Serve as senior deal quarterback on complex transactions
• Coordinate brokerage efforts with CityPlat’s development, data, and capital initiatives
• Implement systems for pipeline tracking, reporting, and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with NC Real Estate Commission rules and BIC requirements
• Represent CityPlat in key client, institutional, and partner relationships

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in commercial real estate brokerage
• Prior leadership or team-management experience strongly preferred
• Strong background in land, industrial, retail, or mixed-use
• Proven ability to close complex transactions
• Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy environment
• Strategic thinker who can build systems—not just chase deals
• North Carolina license required (BIC a plus)
